National Motor Club Sponsors Wounded Warriors Family Support's 5th Annual High Five Tour, Hosts June 2 Event

Irving, Texas – May 16, 2014 - The National Motor Club has signed on as a national sponsor of the Wounded Warriors Family Support's 5th Annual High Five Tour. Wounded Warrior Family Support is an organization dedicated to providing support to the families of those who have been wounded, injured or killed during combat operations. Colonel John Folsom, founder and president of Wounded Warriors Family Support, and the tour's traveling GT500 Mustang will make a stop at NMC's headquarters in Irving, Texas on Monday, June 2, from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.

During the four-month tour, Folsom and the 2014 Mustang will hit the road and travel more than 26,000 miles, crisscrossing the United States, traveling to 65 cities and making stops in 48 states. Americans are invited and encouraged to show their support for military families by visiting a stop on the tour and signing the car with a message of support to the country's veterans and their families.

"The entire National Motor Club family is very excited about helping raise awareness and showing appreciation for Wounded Warriors and their families," said Matt Krzysiak, CEO. "Our troops and their families make significant sacrifices for our country, and deserve our support in addressing their post-combat needs. We look forward to having the tour stop at our headquarters, and offering our employees and neighbors the chance to sign the traveling Mustang and contribute to the cause."

Through the High Five Tour 2014, Wounded Warriors Family Support has pledged $1 million toward building two "smart homes" for two deserving wounded warriors, Staff Sergeant Jason Ross, USMC and Captain Anthony Simone, USAF and their families in San Diego, California and Joliet, Illinois. Both Ross and Simone suffered severe injuries while serving in the line of duty and need specially designed "smart homes" so they can have a better quality of life. 100 percent of all funds donated to the High Five Tour 2014 will go directly to the construction of the homes. The specially designed homes are custom-built to provide the severely wounded veterans quality of life and independence that otherwise would not be possible.

"The High Five Tour 2014 is about showing our support to military families across the nation," said Colonel Folsom. "Our mission is also to positively affect the lives of two wounded veterans - Staff Sergeant Ross and Captain Simone - who have made tremendous sacrifices in the line of duty. We're excited to bring the High Five Tour 2014 to the Dallas/Fort Worth area."
