Repair Guard™

Members can have even more protection with Repair Guard Lifetime Warranty Extender. Repair Guard extends the written nationwide warranty period for a qualifying repair performed by an authorized repair facility for as long as you keep your NMC membership continuously active.

  • Members will never pay twice for the same qualified automotive repair
  • Included in the cost of Security Shield membership
  • Available on all non-commercial, private passenger vehicles registered to the member for personal use

Qualified repairs include: Air Conditioning, Heating and Climate Control Systems; Engine Cooling Systems; Engine Performance, Drivability Services and Repairs; Emission Control System; Fuel System; Electronic Engine Management System and other On-Board Computer Systems (Engine, Body, Brake and Suspension Computers), Cruise-Control Systems; Brake System (excluding friction materials, pads, and shoes); Starting and Charging Systems; Electrical System; Exhaust System; Ignition System; Steering/Suspension Systems, Wheel Bearings, CV Joints/U-Joints; Half-Shafts and Drive Shafts; and other minor repairs.
Limitations and exclusions apply. Automotive repairs excluded from the Repair Guard Lifetime Warranty Extender include: Engine (Any internal repairs or replacement of internal components, or replacement of engine assembly); Transmission or Transaxles; Drive Axle/Differential Assembly; Auto Body, Paint, or Molding Repair; Commercial Vehicles; Tires; Batteries; Preventative Maintenance; and Used or Salvaged Parts. You must pay for any non-warranty service you order to be performed at the same time as the warranty service. This warranty will not apply to your repaired vehicle if it has been damaged by abnormal use, misuse, neglect, accident, alteration or “tampering with” (by other than the Facility or Facility employees). The Facility’s employees and/or agent do not have authority to modify the terms of the warranty nor to make any promises in addition to those contained in the warranty. This warranty does not in any way include incidental or consequential damages.
